UTV, the owner of talkSPORT, has reported revenues were up 8 per cent for the first half of 2008, boosted by its radio division.
The company's pre-tax profits rose 12 per cent year on year to £10.4 million, with operating profits up 32 per cent year on year to £9.9 million. TV advertising income, however, was down 4 per cent to £18.3 million.
