Johnston Press, the regional publisher, has called in the auditor KPMG in a bid to restructure its £450 million debt. KPMG was instructed by Johnston to conduct preparatory work before the renewal of the publisher's banking facilities later this year. The auditor will not begin an analysis of the company's accounts until its full-year results are announced in March.
