The Week: Brand news - Shops sign up to FSA push

The Food Standards Agency is teaming up with coffee and sandwich chains, including Pret A Manger, Eat, Starbucks, Costa and Greggs, in a bid to lower the fat and salt content of products as part of a healthy eating campaign.

The voluntary scheme will ensure each individual chain signs up to initiatives to improve the nutritional value of the food and drink it is selling. As part of the scheme, Pret A Manger will introduce calorie labelling on its products.
