Website usability thwarts shoppers

Poor website usability is the biggest factor holding consumers back from online shopping, according to a survey by fulfilment firm Zendor.

Respondents ranked complicated order and check-out processes, confusing navigation, and difficulty in locating products as the biggest bugbears.

Seventy-four per cent said they had abandoned an attempted purchase. Other big issues were technical problems, and delivery issues.
