Water brand hires Intelligent for UK launch

LONDON - Norwegian mineral water brand Isklar has appointed Intelligent Marketing to handle the below-the-line brief for its upcoming £2 million UK launch.

The agency will be responsible for trade marketing activity and consumer communications. This will include sales promotions campaigns leading up to and following the product's launch in Spring.

Isklar has also hired Hooper Galton for above-the-line work, MPG for media buying and Blue Marlin for its brand development and design.

The water brand is being launched in the UK as a test market. It has investment from Omani firm Sabco, the owner of a popular water brand in the Middle East. It is also being supported by the Norwegian government.

Last summer saw significant activity in the £650 million bottled water sector. Britvic launched a scratchcard promotion for Drench, while Buxton ran an on-pack promotion.
