WATCH: Will 5G mean the death of Wi-Fi?

±±¾©Èü³µpk10 spoke to Bank of America's Lou Paskalis about the rise of 5G and what it will mean for marketers.

Lou Paskalis, senior vice-president of media planning, investment and measurement executive, for Bank of America, said: "There were some demonstrations around latency but everyone said 5G won't be here until the Korean Olympics and standards are going to slow down the development.

"What we're hearing in the first couple of hours at Mobile World Congress this year is that there are developers already introducing 5G product.

"As a marketer that's very interesting as it starts to challenge some pre-conceptions around wifi and what people will be willing to do on their mobile device. Do people need two systems, do they still need Wi-Fi?"
