Watch: Deliveroo opens experiential picnic pop-up garden

Deliveroo opened a pop-up garden in Hoxton Square to tempt Londoners outside for meal times as part of a summer marketing push.

Visitors to the garden, which was kitted out with deck chairs and DJs, were able to order food through the Deliveroo app to the garden's drop-off point. For every £10 spent, customers could claim a free cocktail from the garden's bar.

According to Emily Strang, Deliveroo's marketing associate, the pop-up was designed to encourage consumers to use the service for picnics and lighter outdoor meals in the summer months.

"We are especially keen for when the sun comes out for everyone to make the most of it, and to think about Deliveroo when they're eating outside in their garden, or taking food to the park," she said.
