Warren promoted to agency sales manager at GNM

LONDON - Nicola Warren has been promoted to agency sales manager at Guardian News and Media, succeeding Simon Kilby who has become advertisement manager for trading.

Warren will be responsible for the agency print teams selling across the Guardian and the Observer newspapers.

She began her career at GNM in classified sales nine years ago. She then joined the display sales department as sales executive on the arts team, selling to art agencies and clients.

After 18 months in this role she moved to the newspaper agency team and subsequently in 2004 was promoted to group head on the magazine agency team, where she helped launch the Observer monthly magazine portfolio. Following this, she became magazine sales manager.

Chris Pelekanou, GNM's sales director, said: "Nicola is a huge asset to GNM. In her new role she will direct the print teams and increase collaboration with the digital team to reinforce yet further our competitive advantage in the marketplace."

This latest appointment follows last week's promotion of Adam Freeman to commercial director at GNM, to replace Stuart Taylor who was appointed commercial director of Guardian Media Group Radio. Both men will begin their new roles in September.
