Harrison replaces Leslie Wallwork as marketing controller and will report to marketing director Richard Hayes. The position had been vacant since Wallwork left the baker last year.
Harrison will oversee the brand’s communication strategy across advertising, digital, PR and insight. Previously, she was global marketing manager for Durex. Prior to that, Harrison spent five years at Kimberley-Clark, where she oversaw nappies brand Huggies.
She has been tasked with ensuring that Warbutons' ongoing "We care because our name's on it" campaign, created by RKCR/Y&R, is as "relevant" to consumers as possible.
The brand's latest ad campaign, featuring staff baking Warburtons' one millionth loaf, launched last month.
Warburtons' product range includes Warburtons 800g Toastie, the 800g Soft Farmhouse and 800g Wholemeal. It has also launched a range of gluten-free and wheat-free bakery products.
