The account, which was put up for review in May, was won following a three-way pitch, which included incumbent Universal McCann.

Sally Polak, Vision Express national communications manager, said: "We appreciate the time and dedication that all candidates gave to the pitch process and would like to congratulate Walker Media on its success."

In February the optician, which is the UK's third largest with more than 240 stores, appointed Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy as its creative agency, a move which coincided with its acquisition of Batemans Opticians.
