Kling will partner with John Norman, the current W&K executive creative director, working across accounts including Nike, Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts and P&G. He starts on April 7.
He has previously worked as copywriter and creative director at the W&K Amsterdam and Portland offices.
Kling worked at Euro RSCG New York for three years, also serving on the global creative board of Euro RSCG Worldwide. Kling's work was a factor in key wins for Jaguar, Dos Equis, Uniqlo and Clearasil.
Dan Wieden, chief executive officer and global creative director for Wieden & Kennedy, said: "Jeff will be a great asset in Amsterdam. His leadership skills and creative pedigree are clearly proven and speak for themselves.
"The fact that Jeff already has experienced the W&K culture and has lived in Amsterdam before, means he can really focus and dive right into his new role. With both Jeff's and John's experience combined, the partnership can further develop the success of W&K Amsterdam and maintain the creative culture that has thrived in our Amsterdam office."
Kling said: "There are some lovely, super-talented people in Amsterdam who I have sorely missed. And I really look forward to working with John Norman. Which is good, because we'll be partnered."
