VW Group moves former Audi chief to UK operations

Volkswagen Group has promoted Audi's former head of marketing, Rawdon Glover, to oversee its UK operations.

Reporting to Robin Woolcock, head of VW UK, Glover will ensure that the business reaches its growth targets.

His appointment is the result of a series of internal moves.

Glover fills the role vacated by Jeremy Hicks, who has moved up to become head of group services following Chris Craft's promotion to head of Skoda UK (Marketing, July 31).

Craft's move was the re-sult of Rob Tracey's appointment as managing director of IT support firm gedas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen.

Glover was head of marketing at Audi for nearly four years until he swapped jobs with Gary Savage and became head of operations at Seat in October last year.

Last month, Volkswagen announced that it was ploughing £7m, its biggest marketing spend of the year, into the launch of the Touran in an attempt to grab a slice of the mini MPV sector of the car market.
