Working through the Central Office of Information, St Luke's has produced two new ads to encourage the public to have their say and remind voters of the political process.
The campaign extends the "If you don't do politics, there's not much you do do" theme introduced for last year's London Mayoral and regional assembly elections.
Actors Jim Broadbent and Timothy Spall reprise the roles providing the voiceovers for the two main characters, Tom and Mike, who convey the message that if you do not do politics, you may not have anything interesting to say to each other.
Broadbent recently featured as a voice in the new 'Magic Roundabout' film and also starred in 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason'. Spall is best known to younger audiences from starring in the last Harry Potter movie as Peter Pettigrew, and has been acclaimed for his work on Mike Leigh's films and in 'Auf Wiedersehen, Pet'.
The TV ads will air nationally and will be backed up by radio, press and online work.
The campaign has been developed following the success of the previous campaign, with research showing that one in three people admitted to having voted as a direct result of seeing the ads.
Phil Teer, joint managing director of St Luke's, said: "Voter engagement is a hot topic for this election. This is a strong campaign that has already had considerable success in getting people engaged. We are building on its strengths for the country's most important elections."
