Vodafone will sponsor wraps on more than 500 London taxis, and on Heathrow Express trains as part of a new drive.
The taxis will also have phone chargers installed and offer a service allowing Vodafone customers to pay via text message for their journey home with no additional charge.
The wraps are of Union Jack flags, created from famous London street names. Wraps of Heathrow Express trains will begin next week.
Guy Laurence, chief executive of Vodafone UK, said: "We are committed to offering London the best possible network. We have already made hundreds of improvements to increase coverage, capacity and reliability to ensure Londoners can always stay in touch with friends and family. Now with our fantastic fleet of Union Jack cabs and their on-board chargers which anyone can use, all Londoners will be able to see our continuing commitment to the capital."
The transport push will be supported by radio campaign.
Vodafone has used taxis in the past to promote its services, and its F1 sponsorship, using cabs in a 'grand prix' in 2009.
