Martin Freeman's grumpy boots feels so liberated by the reliability of Vodafone's network connectivity that he takes to ice to do some elegant figure skating in this Christmas spot.

The story sees Freeman's character and his girlfriend Clare arrive at a family do, only to discover there is a relative in attendance they have failed to bring a present for. But a few taps on her smartphone are all Clare needs to solve the problem. 

A post credit-style scene reveals that Freeman's character is not quite the skater he believes himself to be.
