The campaign, created by Grey London, follows on from the three "adventurous" boys earlier this year to push its 30-day "Love Us or Leave Us" guarantee to consumers.
Set during a snowy Christmas Eve in a village pub, the ad shows two of the friends with their friends and family waiting for the third to join in. However, he is stranded halfway across the country on a broken-down coach.
The friends in the pub use video calling across Vodafone’s "bigger and better" network to bring them all together and enjoy an enthusiastic game of charades over the phone. It features the track I Feel Free by Cream.
The ad, which is set to premiere during The Pride of Britain Awards on ITV1 at 9.30pm today, can also be viewed on the Vodafone UK YouTube channel.
Vodafone will also be using Twitter's "First View" feature to launch the new ad and campaign for 24 hours across the social platform.
The spot was created by Mark McCall, Richard Dorey, Jonathan Rands and Alex Tizard at Grey. It was directed by Steve Reeves through Another Film Company, while media planning and buying is handled by MEC.
Last year the mobile network introduced Terry the Turkey, who finds himself a new home after the family decide to rear their own Christmas bird.
Vodafone was fined £4.6m by Ofcom last week for mis-selling and not handling complaints properly.
Bilge Ciftci, head of brand at Vodafone UK, said: "Our Christmas ad demonstrates the importance of our network in bringing people closer to their loved ones at Christmas, whilst perfectly capturing the nation’s mood at this magical time of year."
