Vodafone backs sponsorship of Ferrari F1 team
Vodafone is backing its sponsorship of the Ferrari F1 team with what it claims is its biggest ever international ad campaign, airing in the UK from mid-April.The campaign encompasses a 40-second ad telling the story of a Ferrari fan and his unsuccessful attempt to get to a Grand Prix as his car breaks down. However, his friend, who is at the race, saves the day by conveying the atmosphere and providing commentary from his mobile. Other executions show Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello in the pits while we hear his voicemail message, "I'm at work. Please leave a message after the beep", and Michael Schumacher sending a text in the pits. The campaign has been created by Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam, with media planned and bought by Carat International.
