
Vizeum, which already handles the media planning and buying duties for Coca-Cola GB which includes brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and Dr Pepper will start work on the new accounts from 1 January.
The decision to move the additional soft drinks' businesses into the Aegis agency will enable Coca-Cola to benefit from increased economies of scale ahead of a significant marketing push in 2009.
According to Nielsen Media Research, Appletiser spent 1.5m on media in 2007 and a further 400,000 for Capri-Sun. However, a Coca-Cola spokesman admitted this is set to increase to closer to 6m in 2009.
She added: "Following a comprehensive review of [our GB] media business in the autumn of 2007, merging Appletiser and Capri-Suns media business into Vizeum and the Aegis network will give the added benefit of a seamless and speedy transition."
