VisitBritain appoints AdLINK

Digital sales agency AdLINK has won the contract to represent UK tourist board VisitBritain.

AdLINK will manage ad sales on more than 34 of VisitBritain鈥檚 websites in the UK, Europe, Australia and the US.

As well as www.visitbritain.com AdLINK has also secured ad representation rights to www.visitengland.com, the official website of the English Tourist Commission.

AdLINK won the contract against pitches from other agencies including Aura Sports and E-type.

Donald Hamilton, MD of AdLINK, said he was delighted.

鈥淲ith the adoption of the right banners, skyscrapers and sponsorship opportunities, the VisitBritain proposition is very attractive to advertisers who are keen to associate themselves with the official tourist board,鈥 Hamilton said.

VisitBritain attracts an audience of 60% males and 40% females aged between 35-49 years old, who are planning a trip from their country of origin to the UK.

The site receives around 5.2 million page impressions each month.
