The event, organised by the Travel Agents Association of India, will take place from 26-29 September at Lord鈥檚. It will be the first time that the congress has been held outside Asia throughout its 60-year history.

The Travel Agents Association of India represents more than 2,500 Indian travel agents and other tourism representatives. Visit London forecasts that spend by Indian visitors will increase by more than 50% to 拢229m between now and 2012.

Visit London has won a year-long bid to stage the annual Indian Travel Congress in the capital.
