Visit London bash is Roundhouse triumph

The third annual Visit London Awards, held on 23 November, was the largest seated event the Roundhouse has hosted since its 拢29.7m refurbishment.

More than 800 guests were in attendance, according to the venue's in-house event team.

The ceremony was hosted by GMTV presenter Kate Garraway and guests were entertained by soul singer Jocelyn Brown and DJ Jazzy M from Ministry of Sound.

Winners on the night included Excel London for Business Venue of the Year; The Sultan's Elephant, produced by Artichoke, won Cultural Event of the Year; and the award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year went to the National Portrait Gallery.

The People's Choice awards were presented to the BA London Eye for London Tonight's Best Day Out for Londoners; Wagamama for LBC News 1152AM's Best Restaurant award; Tate Modern and The Lion King were joint winners of the Evening Standard Best Entertainment award; and Covent Garden was awarded the Totally London Best Shopping Experience.

Visit London's chief executive James Bidwell said: "The Visit London Awards are becoming more and more influential, thanks to the continued support of Eurostar, our media partners and sponsors.

"The event is a fitting celebration of the capital's top tourism businesses, whose dedication and work contributes to London's position as the number-one city destination on the planet. Many congratulations to all of our winners," he added.
