Virgin Trains "Decision time, Valerie" by Anomaly

Anomaly's first ad for Virgin Trains presents the brand as akin to a relaxing Spandau Ballet track compared to stressful rival transport modes.

Virgin Trains calls this a "completely different approach in its advertising", with two spots about interviewee Valerie deciding between a train and car or train and plane. While the Virgin Trains experience is relaxing and colourful, set to Spandau Ballet’s True, the alternative options are hectic and grim against a Speedcore techno track. The TV ads were written by executive creative director Oli Beale and Craig Ainsley at Anomaly and directed by Emmy award-winning director Tom Kuntz through MJZ.
