The appointment completes a management line-up created over the last two years with Ray Armes, formerly of Graphique, as chairman, Simon Gore, from Added Value, as general manager and Greg Vallance, from Dragon, as creative director.
Young will join Vibrandt, part of the Sandom Group, with a brief to grow all aspects of the agency's UK and international business, including identifying areas for development with existing clients, as well as to review entirely new areas of business opportunity.
Sandom Group CEO John Wringe said: "We are delighted that someone of Keith's experience and track record is joining us. His enthusiasm and pragmatic approach will make a huge contribution to both Vibrandt and the rest of the Sandom Group as we continue to grow as an organisation."
Over the past two decades, Young has developed a reputation in this role across a wide range of sectors. At Design Bridge, he played a key role in expanding the agency's international business.
According to Young: "I knew my next move had to be somewhere special and having carefully considered a number of options was incredibly impressed by the vision, energy and calibre of the entire Vibrandt team. I look forward to the challenges ahead and helping the group become even more successful".
Vibrant was launched in 2001 out of the merger of the Sandom Partnership and Graphique. Clients include Unilever, Quaker Oats, Kraft Foods Europe, General Mills, Nestle Purina and British Bakeries.
