Viacom Brand Solutions hires sales staff from Carlton

LONDON - Viacom Brand Solutions has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Carlton television's Ross Belcher as group account director.

Belcher will be joined by Carlton TV colleague Mike Barrett, who will take the role of account director. In addition Viacom Brand Solutions has appointed a third new member of staff to the sales team, Alex Kisby, who joins from MediaVest Manchester as regional account director.

There have also been to promotions within the existing team. Damon Lafford has been promoted to sales controller and Sharb Farjami takes the role of group account director.

Paul Curtis, managing director of Viacom Brand Solutions, said: "VBS has recently enjoyed substantial growth due to the continued strength of the brands we represent and our commitment to creating highly-valued marketing solutions. As a result, we have needed to strengthen our core team to continue to provide the high quality service to our clients."

Viacom Brand Solutions was set up in 2001 and sells space on behalf of 14 cable and satellite channels including E! Entertainment, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and the Paramount Comedy Channel.

It recently signed a deal with Capital Radio and IPC Media to form a youth media alliance called RSVP. RSVP's first project is the launch of the Ashton Kutcher film 'The Butterfly Effect'.
