LONDON (Brand Republic) - Viacom has appointed Richard Bressler, who last week became the most high-profile resignation from AOL Time Warner since its merger, as its chief financial officer.
He takes over from Fredric Reynolds, who has moved to Viacom鈥檚 US TV network CBS as president of its television stations group.
Bressler, who spent 13 years at Time Warner prior to its merger with AOL, played a key part in the negotiations that led to the $106bn (£73.8bn) merger. However, he failed to win a key job in the new executive line-up.
At Viacom, Bressler will report directly to chief operating officer Mel Karmazin.
