What’s it got? The new basement bar is scheduled to open later this month and boasts an impressive copper ceiling, set back lounge areas with low lighting and a classic oak bar with a mirrored back drop replicating the feel of the glamorous Mad Men era. It can seat 36 people with a further 30 standing, or can be cleared for standing functions accommodating up to 80 people. A regular jazz band line up will entertain customers on Friday and Saturday nights and the bar will serve a menu of snacks mirroring the style in the restaurant upstairs.
Anything else? The bar, formally a 1960’s nightclub, is also rumoured to have been used in the filming of detective series The Minder.
