What’s it got? The venue, home of the British Academy, has just completed a £1m two-year refurbishment. Both houses now flow seamlessly from one into the other, having been connected on each floor. There are 10 rooms to hire, each with restored period features and an array of eclectic art ranging from period pieces to contemporary abstract. In addition, three new lifts have been installed and the auditorium has been upgraded with the latest AV equipment including data projection, surround sound and a hearing loop.
Anything else? The venue has been used as a location for Spooks, Dorian Gray and Bridget Jones’s Diary.
