The agency has hired Wayne Bickerton to head the service. Bickerton was formerly a director at Diffiniti, a digital media company that is part of the Isobar network.
The service, which is being developed to offer clients a way of bringing digital creativity and media ideas together, will initially work with existing VCCP business, but it will also look to obtain new accounts independently.
It will sit alongside the agency's other digital services, which also include design and build capabilities, as well as search-engine marketing.
Charles Vallance, a founding partner of VCCP, said: "Where once agencies could specialise in a field, be it creative, digital or media, there is now a requirement for a more fluid and apposite approach. Total understanding, appreciation and implementation of all marketing media are now essential, since the playing fields of commerce and delivery of messages are morphing continually.
"This move underlines our commitment to assimilate a full-service digital offering into the heart of the operation to offer seamless and impartial advice to clients."
Bickerton added: "The significance of digital is growing exponentially year on year, and while some claim to be fully conversant in it, in reality, few are. Yet, VCCP is now able to create an effective, well-researched and integrated digital marketing offering."
