Vauxhall launches first work since dropping Rhys Jones

Vauxhall has launched its first TV work for the brand since

dropping Griff Rhys Jones as the face of its advertising. The campaign,

which breaks this Friday, introduces a new strapline 'Handles life

beautifully', and focuses on individual models rather than promoting the

Vauxhall marque.

Two 30-second executions, created by Lowe Lintas, aim to show how the

cars and their innovations make driving, and therefore life, more

enjoyable.

'Mr Forgetful' demonstrates the Astra Convertible's remote control hood,

while 'Directions' shows the driver of a Corsa SRi fantasise about the

car's handling functions as she is asked for directions. A third ad will

follow at the end of July. Media planning and buying is by Initiative

Media.
