The account, believed to be worth about £15m, is the fourth piece of business that General Motors-owned Vauxhall has given the agency in a head-to-head with Lowe.
The Meriva will hit the UK's roads in May next year. It is an extended, five-seat version of the Corsa and so is a smaller MPV than the Vauxhall Zafira.
The Meriva will be available with a petrol or diesel engine and it is thought it will retail for about £11,000.
Its introduction to the UK car market is an important part of the Vauxhall brand's strategy going forward. Vauxhall said the launch aims to demonstrate how with 40% of its new models it has moved away from conventional saloon, hatchback and estate versions of its cars.
Vauxhall's agency of record Lowe has been steadily losing the car marque's business this year. In June it lost the £16m Vauxhall Corsa business to DLKW.
In October DLKW poached the £7m Astra account, which was followed a week later by the announcement that it had picked up the business for the new Agila model. Vauxhall's £15m retail business is still under review.
According to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, Vauxhall's sales were up 12.34% in the year to September 2002.
