Guests were greeted by waiters dressed in braces, bow ties and thick-rimmed glasses who served canapés on trays made from Charles Dickens books.
Caterer Vacherin provided trio of lobster, truffle and chestnut roulade with lingonberry jam and goose tortellini with brioche sauce and goose crackling.
Desserts included a shot of creamy eggnog with gingerbread fingers and a Treasure Island-themed tray with edible silver coins, chocolate and honeycomb golden nuggets and clementine and chestnut macaroons.
A cocktail barman created passion fruit ‘Vesper Martinis’ and strawberry-flavoured ‘War of the Words’.
