US sends 10 times as much B2B mail to the UK

LONDON - Business-to-business direct mail coming out of the US to the UK is 10 times more than the volume of mail going in the opposite direction, according to a report by business information company Mardev.

The study is based on annual sales figures of data from the company's UK and US offices.

Nick Martin, general manager of Mardev, said: "US companies are very good at exporting goods and services to the UK, but British-based firms often seem more reluctant.

He added: "US marketing campaigns seem insurmountable to most UK exporters with anything less than the largest budgets, but they shouldn't be. We have everything they could possibly require to help them target the right individuals and build significant business with US firms."

Mardev has a database of more than 30m names worldwide for direct marketing, e-marketing and telemarketing campaigns, with offices in Asia, Australia, Europe and the US.
