- Dow AgroSciences, the US's second largest agrichemical company, has appointed the Leo Burnett affiliated new media company Hard Reality to develop websites in the UK and Europe.
Hard Reality will initially develop two sites, for the UK and Sweden, which will be launched later this spring. A further three sites for Belgium, Denmark and Holland, will follow later in the year.
Peter Mason, project leader for Dow AgroSciences, said: "We were impressed with Hard Reality's design strengths. On top of exceptional technical knowledge and experience, their use of multi-national designers is in line with Dow AgroSciences vision for the project."
Hard Reality operates a virtual network, dubbed the Reality Network, that involves designers, programmers and other interactive specialists from across Europe and the US.
According to Mark Westall, a partner at Hard Reality, "The Reality network allows us to tap into the best talent globally to provide clients with innovative and creative solutions. Hard Reality will also be able to leverage Leo Burnett's extensive European network and contacts for this project."
