The 2,600sqm chandelier illuminated Old Billingsgate's main hall for the charity fundraiser.
Each paper panel, of which there were 15,000, was drawn on in India by children of the various educational institutions supported and financed by the Pratham Foundation, then hand-cut by master artisans of the Sanjhi craft (the traditional Indian art of paper cutting) to transform them into individual paper screens.
In total more than 8,000 children from 15 different Indian states, along with several hundred Indian artisans, came together over a period of 12 months to produce the colossal installation.
