Unilever's global media vice-president retires

Laura Klauberg, senior vice-president of global media at Unilever, is retiring from the company, effective 31 March.

Klauberg will "take a short break before pursuing other opportunities".

Klauberg was appointed to her current position in May 2010, moving from the post of vice-president of media, Americas.

During her time in the role Klauberg has led the global media strategy and the recent . She has also been key to the company's investment in media innovation, including branded content on TV, mobile applications, the creation of online video content and the use of social media.

Prior to this she was senior vice-president global marketing, Unilever cosmetics, the fragrance arm of the company that included the Calvin Klein brand and was sold in 2005.

Klauberg has more than 29-years of brand marketing experience and began her career with Unilever as an assistant brand manager on Pond's and Aziza.

Her successor has not yet been named.
