Ulster TV suffers as advertising downturn continues

LONDON - Ulster TV has recorded a drop in pre-tax profit of 68.6%, from £20.4m to £6.4m in the first half of the year.

It reported a slight increase in group turnover -- up by 2.5% from £20.4m to £20.9m. The group expects its radio operations to increase profits over the second half of the year, and also predicts its internet operations to be profitable by year end.
