UKTV moves business to PHD Rocket

LONDON - UKTV, the pay-TV broadcaster owned by Virgin Media TV and BBC Worldwide, has moved its £3.5m media planning and buying from PHD into PHD Rocket.

UKTV moves business to PHD Rocket

The agency won the business from its bigger Omnicom sibling after pitching against Naked and pitch partner the7Stars, Arena BLM and MPG.

The review was handled by Tom Lucas, UKTV director of marketing and communications director.

PHD had held UKTV's media account for nine years, having survived a 2004 review, undertaken to ensure the broadcaster was getting the best value for money.

The latest review came as UKTV plans to relaunch its pay-TV portfolio, following the successful launch of Dave, the channel rebranded from G2 last October.
