The decision means that fans in 96 countries worldwide will be able to watch live Uefa Champions League coverage through its Uefa Video Service from now, and every Uefa Cup match from the quarter finals onwards from April 2007.
Uefa said that fans would be able to watch games for a subscription charge, and access an archive of more than 5,000 videos and 1,000 matches from all Uefa competitions in the last decade.
Aleaxandre Fourtoy, Uefa media technologies chief executive officer, said: "The Uefa Video Service provides our broadcasting partners on an equal basis with a high quality and secure platform that can be tailor-made for individual needs and local markets."
The UVS service encodes the broadcaster's live satellite feeds from Turin and London, which are then made available in the viewer's native language and distributed via each broadcaster.
In September, Uefa unveiled the Warner Bros-developed official mascot for the Euro 2008 football championships, which will be jointly hosted by Austria and Switzerland.
