Uber may have had some PR problems recently, but its first TV ad in the UK has a sweet charm.

The spot, by Bartle Bogle Hegarty London and directed by Kim Gehrig, tells the story of Grace and Miles, who are on their first date. Their bumbling awkwardness, from staining a shirt with ketchup to getting caught in the rain, is helped along to a romantic conclusion thanks to the ease of the Uber app. The soundtrack is You’re the Boss by Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret. The work was created by Raymond Chan and Simon Cenamor – reuniting the creative team behind Sport England’s "This girl can" by FCB Inferno with the director from that campaign.
