UBC wraps up radio ad space deals

UBC Media Group has signed a major deal with radio groups Chrysalis and The Wireless Group to provide advertising around syndicated news bulletins.

The deal gives UBC access to major radio brands such as TWG鈥檚 TalkSport and the Chrysalis-owned Heart, LBC and Galaxy stations.

UBC will sell advertising space at the end of news bulletins 鈥 supplied by Sky News to the two radio groups 鈥 to major national advertisers.

Recent clients opting for UBC鈥檚 solus national advertising deal include BSkyB, Renault, Ford, the AA, P&G and Sainsbury鈥檚.

The Network News deal will compliment UBC鈥檚 existing travel and entertainment news packages.

UBC Media's commercial director John Quinn, said: 鈥淥ver time we fully expect to expand the reach of the newly-created Network News package.

鈥淣ational advertisers will also benefit as we further extend our geographical coverage and audience delivery.鈥

Don Thomson, Chrysalis Radio's commercial director, added: 鈥淯BC have demonstrated their ability to sell our other network properties - Entertainment News and Traffic and Travel.

鈥淭he addition of the Network News package will strengthen their proposition considerably.鈥
