Trojan to screen first orgasm ad

Trojan will court controversy this week when it broadcasts the first TV ads for its latest condom range, Shared Pleasure, showing a couple having sex.

The US company has booked a slot in the first Big Brother ad break on 28 May. It has gained approval from the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre for a post-9pm showing of the 20-second execution.

Trojan claims this is the first time an orgasm has been shown in a UK TV ad.

It forms part of the 'Faces' campaign created by Media Therapy that shows people captured at the height of pleasure.

The work launched in March with a poster that featured a close-up of a woman's face. The Advertising Standards Authority received 50 complaints about the poster, but they were not upheld.
