Trinity Mirror sells Berkshire Regional Newspapers for £10m

LONDON - Trinity Mirror has offloaded its Berkshire Regional Newspapers group in a £10m deal with Berkshire Media Group.

The price was based on Berkshire Regional Newspapers' revenues in 2006. Berkshire Media Group takes control of papers including the Reading Chronicle series of titles.

Trinity Mirror was advised by Rothschild on the sale. Berkshire Media Group is a subsidiary of The Dunfermline Press.

Earlier this month Trinity Mirror sold 25 of its south-eastern regional papers to Northcliffe, a division of the Daily Mail & General Trust, for £64m. The deal included Kent Regional Newspapers, East Surrey and Sussex Newspapers and Blackmore Vale Publishing.
