LONDON (Brand Republic) – UK newspaper group, Trinity Mirror, has offered £284.6m for London newspaper publisher Southnews.
The bid values Southnews, which publishes newspapers in Greater London, Essex and Kent, at 12 pence a share -– representing a 57% premium on Southnew’s closing share price of 762.5 pence yesterday.
Southnews has a total circulation of 314,000 for its paid-for titles and 3.3m for its free journals.
