The Grand Hotel in Brighton played host to Media360 in which delegates were able to listen to key speakers in the industry. A frequent conversation point was how the industry can unite in order to be stronger and more efficient.
Syl Saller, Diageo's chief marketing officer, discussed how the industry has already started to unite over digital safety to ensure that "content is being put in the right place and being seen by people".
Shilen Patel, co-founder of independents united, also stressed safety stating that the industry "needs to work out how to respect people's privacy".
The BBC's arts editor, WIll Gompertz, and Disney's chief marketing officer, Anna Hill, discussed how collaboration is crucial for the future of media and marketing, with Hill stating "we can probably make a great deal more of an impact" in working together.
Conversely, Nils Leonard, co-founder of Halo and former chief creative officer of Grey London, suggested that agencies should strive to be independent and the future will see "a bunch of different people trying radically new things because the room is there for them to do it".
