Porter Novelli has appointed former Freud Communications director Fenella Grey as deputy managing director. ()

Scott McLean has parted ways with Speed Communications a year after he was appointed to the role of joint managing director. McLean’s departure now leaves Kate Bosomworth, who joined after her agency KTB PR was last July, as sole managing director. ()

Havas-owned financial and corporate agency Maitland has bolstered its team with two senior appointments. Martin Barrow, The Times’ former news editor, has joined the firm as a partner, while Laura Conaghan (née Humble) comes in as an associate partner from Man Group. ()

InVentiv Health has appointed medical biochemist and social media expert Emma D’Arcy as head of participatory medicine in its digital team. ()

The Ministry of Justice has made Christian Cubitt head of news following his interim stint as the prime minister's deputy spokesman. ()
