The IPA has named Ian Priest, founding partner of VCCP, as its new president from 21 March 2013, replacing Nicola Mendelsohn, chairman and partner of Karmarama, ()

CHI & Partners co-founder Johnny Hornby is to take the role of global executive chairman as the agency network expands into Asia through a joint venture with its sister WPP network Bates Asia. ()

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has promoted David Kolbusz, the creative director on the agency’s award-winning ‘three little pigs’ work, to the role of deputy executive creative director, working alongside the current deputy executive creative director, Rosie Arnold. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Wunderman has boosted its UK agency with the appointment of Matt Batten, executive creative director at Wunderman Australia, to the new position of chief creative officer. He will oversee the teams at Wunderman London, Blast Radius, Burrows and KBM Group and David Harris, the executive creative director at Wunderman, will report to Batten. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Grey London has appointed Natalie Graeme, head of business development at Mother, as its managing partner. She will report to chief executive Chris Hirst and focus on business development across existing clients and handle accounts such as Vodafone Ireland. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Russell Hopson, the former group managing director of Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, is to leave his position heading up WPP's Team Red, the bespoke unit that services Vodafone and will be replaced by Jean-Louis Roché, who joins from the JWT Global Task Force. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Lida, the M&C Saatchi Group agency, has boosted its management team with the appointment of Mark Hancock, planning director at Golley Slater, as its head of strategy. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Marketing

Tesco has handed Matt Atkinson, its group marketing and digital officer and the former chief executive of EHS 4D, the responsibilities of CMO Tim Mason, who is leaving the company amid a strategic review of Fresh & Easy, the chain's attempt to break into the US. ()

Twinings has promoted its marketing excellence manager Heather Hartridge to the role of UK marketing director, ahead of a brand relaunch next year. Hartridge joined Twinings in 2003 as senior brand manager and she rose up the ranks to take her most recent role at the business two years ago.

Jon White, the European marketing director for toilet tissue at Kimberly-Clark, and Andy Kistler, the FMCG giant’s interim head of European brands, are leaving the business as part of a restructure. As part of the changes Andy Pawson, currently director of European strategic development, will take he role of vice-president, European brands; Christina Garcia, currently the European marketing manager for diapers, will become the European category lead, childcare and wipes; and Karel Van Der Mandele has been appointed as European category lead, rolled tissue.

Media

LBi has poached Ed Ling, the MEC managing director of global solutions, to become its UK media director and chief media officer. Ling will spend the majority of his time working to evolve LBi’s UK media proposition but he will also work at LBi Group level across 17 countries.

Digital Cinema Media (DCM), the UK cinema advertising company, has promoted sales controller Davina Barker to the position of head of agency sales.

BSkyB's chief operating officer Mike Darcey has been appointed to replace Tom Mockridge as chief executive of News International as part of wide-ranging changes across News Corporation. Darcey’s responsibilities at Sky will be assumed by the rest of the senior management team.

PR

Portland has hired The Mail on Sunday's consumer affairs editor Dana Gloger as the agency looks to expand its client offering. Gloger, who joined The Mail on Sunday in June, was previously consumer affairs editor at the Daily Express.

MasterCard UK has appointed Kedesh Mather, a former lead member of the team that delivered Samsung’s Olympic sponsorship, as senior PR manager. He will report to recently appointed head of comms Neil Henderson.

Bray Leino has created a Health and Wellbeing practice within its PR business. The practice will be divided into a prescription and licensed business arm, led by the newly appointed healthcare consultant Hayley Knight and a wellbeing practice headed by account director Verity Cash.

Action for Children has appointed Paul McDonald, head of comms at King’s College London, to the position of director of comms as demand for the charity's services grows.

Trade body the PRCA has appointed PRWeek's news editor Matt Cartmell as director of comms. He will report to PRCA director-general Francis Ingham, and will oversee the PRCA’s comms, policy agenda and wider external relationships.
