JWT London has hired the Dare creative partner Jeremy Carr as a creative director. Carr will join the agency later this year and will work on various accounts, reporting directly to the executive creative director, Russell Ramsey. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

MasterCard has hired former LG marketer Paul Trueman to the role of head of marketing for the UK and Ireland. ()

Unilever, the global FMCG giant, has appointed Iain Potter as vice-president marketing for its home and personal care category (HPC). ()

Marks & Spencer has poached Arcadia marketing director Alison Jones and appointed her brand director for general merchandise, a new role created by chief executive Marc Bolland. Jones, who will report to M&S marketing director Steve Sharp, will work closely with head of merchandise Kate Bostock, overseeing marketing of M&S's clothing and homeware. ()

The Liberal Democrat Party has created a marketing department and has appointed Collette Dunkely, a former General Motors and Vodafone marketer, to head it up. ()

Simon Hetherington, marketing director of Kia UK, is moving to a new role of dealer development director within the Korean car marque. ()

ITV is cutting more jobs as part of the ongoing review of its commercial team, with group account directors Jordan Wisbey and Steve Chambers believed to have left the broadcaster. ()

Condé Nast is restructuring its digital business, as UK country manager Emanuela Pignataro retires from the company after three years. Pignataro has been replaced by Condé Nast Digital publisher Jamie Jouning, who will look at restructuring the digital arm of the publisher of Glamour, Wired, Vogue and GQ. ()

Nick Cohen, the BBC's commissioner for factual and arts multi-platform projects, is leaving after nine years to join MediaCom. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Editor of The New York Times, Bill Keller, has stepped down and is to be replaced by Jill Abramson, who will become the first woman to edit the paper in its 160-year-history. ()
