The campaign, created by VCCP, breaks today. It follows a trial campaign in the North West of England last year, and uses the same strapline of "It’s not luck, it’s totaljobs.com".
The ad will air on ITV, Channel 4, Channel Five and some satellite and Freeview channels, supported by national radio ads. Media planning and buying is handled by Universal McCann.
The 30-second TV ads show a range of household electrical goods such as vacuum cleaners exclaiming their happiness about being employed, or sadness of being unemployed. The ad is narrated by Ian Holmes, who voices the electrical products’ conversation.
Michael Robinson, marketing director of Totaljobs.com, said: "The ads we have developed aim to be different, demonstrating that job-seeking is a very personal experience and that we can work in a collaborative way to help jobseekers improve their chances of finding a job.
"A key success has also been that we have been able to take an integrated approach to the whole campaign that draws on the ads for inspiration, including providing a raft of advice on our website about the importance of being properly equipped to find employment. All of which will help to demonstrate that finding a job isn’t about luck."
boosted the website’s market share in the North West of England after they were launched last September.
