Total Media to drive new memberships for Holmes Place

LONDON - Holmes Place has appointed Total Media to handle its £2m UK media planning and buying account.

The appointment comes as the troubled health club chain, which delisted from the Stock Exchange in August, looks to reclaim its position as the market leader in health clubs and gyms in the UK and Europe.

The agency has been briefed to raise the brand profile and drive new memberships with its first campaign.

Guy Sellers, joint managing director of Total Media, said: "The health club market is highly competitive and we are confident of delivering media standout and return on investment for Holmes Place. We intend to exploit the London area with a range of high profile and interactive media."

The account will be handled at Total Media by account director Nick Hammond and senior account manager Nick Oram.
