Jonathan Emmins: top of Event Club 100 2017

Amplify's CEO and founder, Jonathan Emmins, has been awarded the top place in the Event 100 Club 2017. Having been ranked 24 in last year's list, Emmins has been awarded the top spot this year following the agency's achievements throughout 2016. Under Emmins direction, Amplify has won nine accounts this year including Airbnb, Method, Jura, Burn and Hunter. Emmins attributed this growth to the brand’s  research, which highlights the hopes and fears of British youths. The announcement was made on 6 December at Event's Christmas Party, hosted by Dinerama in Shoreditch.

US beer brand Bud Light is hosting a one-day US-themed concept store in London, serving up some of the most iconic, in-demand brands that are difficult to get hold of outside of America. The event, #BudLightIsComing, is being held to mark the launch next year of the Bud Light beer brand in the UK. The concept store is open today (9 December) at the Truman Brewery in London. Visitors will be able to get their hands on one complimentary item from an array of more than twenty highly sought-after US brands – including Kraft Mac & Cheese, merchandise from The NFL, American menswear brand Noah NYC, Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics & Beauty and Tracie Martyn beauty products.

Mobile phone and technology brand Samsung is putting on a performance from a different world choir each day in the run up to Christmas, to celebrate its Gear S3 smart watch product. Featured choirs include Les Fauristes Chamber Choir from France, the LOL Choir from Latin America, the Reggae Choir from Jamaica and The Chopsticks Choral Society from China. The different choirs will form the 'Gear S3 World Choir', and aim to bring to life festive songs from around the globe.

Heathrow Airport and street artist Ben Eine teamed up to create personalised 'welcome home' banners for passengers. The aiport and Eine have created a range of personalised banners, helping family and friends to make greeting their loved ones extra special this year. The banners will be available to collect from 6-13 December and Eine will be customising them for those waiting to welcome home loved ones for Christmas. There will be one of three banners to choose from; Welcome Home, Love You and Missed You, all using Eine’s iconic and colourful fonts. Fans can also go online and sign up for one of the limited edition collection.

Norwegian Air and Boeing staged a 5D virtual reality experience in Westfield Startford, which remains open until 14 December.
